I have a 2.2l XF registered in 2011 which has recently giving problems with the boot closure starting with the external boot release button not operating then yesterday the boot soft close stopped working causing the boot to stay closed but registering as open and not allowing me to lock the car.
i have opened the boot using the external key lock in the boot but it still does not register as fully closed even when I slam it shut and still unable to open it using either the key fob or button in drivers area
i have tried to find the fuse for the boot area soft close mechanism but unable to locate it in the handbook
can anyone help me

 

Wrong forum. You want X250 forum. My guess is your wiring loom to the trunk is faulty .... common problem I believe for your year/model.
