2009 XFS 3.0D DPF replacement
Hi all,my grandsons XF has been having restricted performance issues.
A friend scanned it with a Solus pro and it gave the folliowing codes
P006a map sensor low pressure
P244b dpf prrssure to high bank 1.
Looking under the car revealed a snapped cable to egt sensor 3,uopn trying to rrplace said sensor it snapped (obviously) so hes just bought a second hand dpf from a 50k mile car which Im going to swap at the weekend but my question is ,does the newer dpf need to be coded or anything or will it just rrad the pressurr etc on its own and sort itself out, thanks.

Here's why:
- Sensor Calibration:
A DPF differential pressure sensor, which is part of the DPF system, needs its offset programmed into the ECU after replacement. - Proper Regeneration:
The ECU needs to be aware of the new or replacement DPF to initiate and manage the regeneration process correctly. Regeneration is the process of burning off accumulated soot from the DPF. - Fault Codes:
Without proper coding, the car's computer might trigger error messages (fault codes) and potentially reduce performance or even enter a limp mode.
Therefore, after replacing a DPF, it's crucial to have it coded using the appropriate diagnostic tools.
Your going
Thanks for clearing that up.Do you know if would be a case of just telling the car to reset/rrlearn or would you know if measurements have to be taken from the dpf and programmed through the software?
