Default 2010 XF Blacking out the roof?

Hey guys, I have a 2010 Jaguar XF that is proclean white. I had the rims blacked out the with gloss by professionals and the car is a head turner. I was considering blacking out the roof with glossy vinyl wrap. Has anyone tried this on a white XF? If yes, please attach some pictures to give me some ideas of how this will look. I have 35 tints all around and I wanted to bring the car to a tint shop to get the front windshield tinted to 50's or the lightest tint possible since my interior is beige and you could practically see right through the car. This should make the black roof stand out as one piece. Any advice would help. Thank you.

Take a hi-res pic of your car and post it up. Someone can photoshop the roof black for you to see what you would be getting when done.

There was someone that blacked out the roof. There should be pictures in one of the older threads.

I will take some pictures tomorrow. I cannot locate the previous post. Im shocked that its actually difficult to find a white jaguar with a blacked out roof. I found threads that had a silver XF with a blacked out roof, but it does not give me ideas on how it will look on mine. Opinions on blacking out the roof?

I agree, it is unfortunate that they did not make that an option. Im really hoping that it will turn out a success. I want to keep my front end with all the stock chrome. I will attach photos of my XF shortly.

I was thinking of going the opposite and either painting my rims white, or buying some white rims with a chrome lip. and then chrome messing out the bottom. Of course getting the tinted windows.

I've been considering doing the same to the roof of my car, but haven't felt comfortable enough with any of the local (Atlanta) vinyl wrap companies to let them touch my rig. I barely even trust the dealers anymore.

This isn't my car, but I think this gives you an idea of the look. It's vs2's car on the forum.

Vs2's car looks sharp although not my preference. Prefer this look over all white car.

Cool

Reaxions, that picture was extremely helpful. I scheduled an appointment to get mine done. I think it would look good considering that I have black glossy rims on my Jaguar. I'm hoping that I wont have to black out the entire front after this project. I wouldnt trust the dealers for this project either, for some reason, I have noticed that they tend to fix/do one thing and break another. NY has plenty of shops that specialize in such things so feel free to cruise by haha. I like what u did to the bottom lip of ur bumper. Is that an original XFR?

You're welcome. Yes, my car is an '11 XFR+. Ha-ha.

I've attached some pix from the dealer from when I bought her as "just" an XFR back in December of 2011, before I got my dirty mitts on her. I traded in an '09 XFS that I also loved.

Haven't done my roof. Not sure I'd love it, and just another "thing" to maintain. If I did anything, I'd probably vinyl wrap my chrome trim and paint my spoiler black. I'd prefer a carbon fiber spoiler, but Mina Gallery seems to be on a year-long vacation.
