Default 2010 XF - knocking
Hello Jaguar form just recently purchased a 2010 XF and I'm hearing a knocking noise on the engine I took it to the dealer and they told me that's a normal sound! Just wondering if all the XF of sound like this

The 5L sounds like diesel in my opinion. It's abnormally loud. I don't think I would consider the sound to be a knocking though. I believe the direct injection is the cause of the noise on the 5L.

if it is a 5 liter with the supercharger the knock when you shut down is the supercharger coupler.

Fuel injection on the 5.0 L is noisy.
