2010 XFR Brake Pads
Will,
That's a bummer. Personally I would find a set, because they are there for a reason. As I remember, I reused the original clips because the ones they supplied did not fit as well. That maybe the reason they fell out. Can you find your old ones and re-install them? Quick before the trash gets picked up,otherwise Brake Labs could send you another set.

I had reused the old ones, so I dug through the trash and found the new ones and installed them today.
They seem fairly snug. Hopefully they stay on this time!

They are there exactly for the reason they are named for. Not all brake pads will rattle but they likely will at some point. Braking efficacy will be unaffected either way, these are noise reducers. If it were my car I'd get a replacement set and install them.
Great info in this thread. I need to replace my back brakes at 20k, but I am just doing the pads and not the rotors. Figure I will do the fronts as well while I am at it.
Can you guys give me an idea of how you like the ceramic pads? Low dust i assume and how do they brake? Did u lose stopping power? Thanks in advance.

My experience in the past several weeks are the ceramic pads produce about 1/4 the brake dust of the stock pads. With the stock pads, driving primarily to/fro work (10 miles each way city driving) my wheels would look like I drove through mud after about 3 or 4 days...
Stopping power seems unaffected. Don't know how they would react to fade on a track, but certainly good for street use. They are also less grabby than the stock pads.
