Default 2012 XF Camber Adjustment

I checked the alignment of my new XF 5.0 and found the usual Jaguar settings that really are not ideal for my kinds of driving. We live in a rural area with gorgeous hilly, winding roads where you will wear out the outside edges of the tires unless enough camber is given.

So, my initial measurements indicated the following cambers:
LF= -0.2 RF= -0.8, LR= -0.7, RR= -1.4 (all in degrees)

I was too lazy to do the alignment myself so took it to my local Firestone center this morning. I requested the fronts to be set at -1 to -1.2 degrees. They exactly confirmed my measurements. The bad news was that the concentric camber bolts on the front have been maxed out in the (-) negative camber direction. So, no adjustments were made.

The rears are non-adjustable for camber.

Question: does anyone, including Jaguar, have different camber bolts to provide more adjustment? As it is, the car understeers on turn-in, some of it is due to the insufficient LF camber. It turns-in a little better on left turns, given the better RF camber. I don't understand why Jaguar would make -0.2 the maximum camber on a sport sedan?

Thansk for any input,

Albert

Albert,

They make a camber kit for the S type, you may be able to use the hardware on the XF to bring the wheels in more.

Seems like you have been putting the XF through it's paces already. Good to see you enjoying it.
