2012 XF SC accessory voltage
Just purchased a new XF SC. First Jaguar ever. Love it. I have one question, what is the accessory output voltage level? I own 2 Escort 9500iX Passports and neither operates as they do in my other vehicles. One of the units GPS cuts out and the other updates slowly and indicates 1 or 2 mph while standing still. The output voltage at the accessory is 12.3 volts while my other vehicles are between 13 and 14 volts.
Pretty Lame.... I was hoping for a response from a Jaguar tech explaining the voltages of the new Jaguar. But alas, no replies or comments from anyone. Was there an issue with the delivery of my Post or nobody knows anything about this?
Your voltage levels are find.. 12 volts is perfect for the escort 9500. My guess of two possible problems.
First, maybe location of where your placing the unit. The 9500 can get interference from the cars electronics. A good place to put the unit is on the passenger side sun visor, this moves it from the dash speakers.
2nd possible problem would be the smartcord, it doesn't like being near the audio input jack area. Ur best bet is to hard wire it to the fuse box with a hardwire kit from passport, real easy to do. Hope this helps.

Check the battery and see if it's only putting out 12V. It should be in the 13-14V range. Run a wire from the battery through the interior and be done. There could be loss in the other line or electronics cutting the voltage down a bit.
