Default Active Engine Mounts? 2013 XF 2.0

Hello fellow Jag enthusiasts. New member, first post and looking for any friendly advice.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with aftermarket engine mounts.

After investigating some front end 'clonking', I discovered that both engine mounts had broken lower M10 studs (on the circular mount not the bracket).

The mounts appear to have vacuum connections and I assume this is for active damping?

I procured some new aftermarket mounts from ebay, correct for make and model etc. However looking at these they don't appear to have the vacuum connection so I'm assuming are more 'passive'.

Anyway, they seemed to be a drop in fit after simply jacking the engine off the old mounts. Since there are no connections for the vacuum tube, I just capped them off.

But now there is an awful vibration even at idle. Not sure if this is the engine mounts or if I could have done something else to cause this.

I guess I'll stick to OEM factory parts in future (lesson learned), but I'm curious if anyone else has any experience in this area.

Thanks for any advice!

Gordon
