The above clause is why I did not purchase such a warranty on my 2013 Rover when I purchased it.

I do all my own maintenance.
Id do the same in general but with the warranty in force I do it at and ASE mechanic shop where I can make sure they use the correct fluids and parts

Yeah you'd think that but I have read some reviews (of this one and a few others) that they don't depend on YOUR mechanic or the dealer, they send and adjuster who makes his own assessment. Such as a turbo housing with wear marks from the compressor wheel before failure, or as i mentioned the control arms.

And this warranty is more restrictive than most. AAA seems more lenient (any failure requiring repair within the contract,) but you pay for that.

My favorite denial was for a 4-wheel alignment (quattro package). The mechanic had replaced upper and lower A-arms and bushings. They claimed the realignment was normal maintenance and therefore not covered. I tried to appeal, but turns out the appeals company specified was a subsidiary of the insurance company, so that went nowhere for me.

Industry has been cleaned up some, so shop around and ask questions... as you're doing now.
I've seen that as well.

Still researching
