Default AJ126 3.0 SC V6 Cylinder Numbering Sequence

Hey all,

Can't find a definite answer on this one and don't have access to TOPIx.

Can someone please post an image of the cylinder numbering for the 3.0 SC V6 AJ126 engine?
...with front of vehicle indicated?
....or left and right of vehicle?
... please NOT "driver" and "passenger". That always messes everything up and sends mixed signals depending if we're in a country with left or right driving positions. 🤔😅

If got misfires on bank 2, cylinders 4 and 5.
The shop is telling me it's on the right side of the car, but I have my doubts.

It's a 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 SC V6 RWD

Thanks for your help guys.

Jaguar adopted the (ISO/SAE/...) standard so for a V engine cyl 1 is RHS front. 2 is LHS front, and then they alternate.

front
2 1
4 3

WOW, that's different from any other I have seen.
That's normally the layout for the V8...right?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.
Thanks for your input, though.

This is what I found, but where is the front of the vehicle?
At the bottom of the image, I suppose, because that's where "1" is.

Is that right?

The front of the engine is where you see 1 and 4

Early 5.0 SC Jag engines use the ISO numbering system and this changed to DIN numbering somewhere around 2014. But with this in mind, the XF 3.0 SC of 2013 is a grey area and I have no information on this variant. The F-Type 3.0 SC definitely uses the DIN numbering as do post 2014 Land Rovers that use the same engine.

The only definite way that I know of to check is to run the Misfire identification in SDD which will show a layout of the numbering as part of the routine. SDD detects the VIN of the vehicle and this determines which layout is shown.

The AJ126 cylinder numbering is Bank1 - 1, 3, 5; Bank2 - 2, 4, 6.

When viewed from the driving position, Bank1 is on RH side of the vehicle.
