Default Am I stock or not? 435 hp dyno

I had my car ran on a Dynojet Dyno this morning. The car was hot, and the fan they used was small. I noticed after I left that the air conditioner was on for the dyno.

I put down a uncorrected 434.61 hp, corrected 448.62 hp.

I bought the car last week and am dyno'ing to see if she is stock while I consider the EGT or Eurotune pulley and flash.

What XF do you have? XF Supercharged or XFR?

For what I understand, you can expect a 10% (+/- a few) for two wheel driveline loss and 17-20% (+/- a few)for AWD line loss.

so if you have a XFR at 510, that rating could be fairly close wheel horse power (WHP).

I would bet that the 510hp rating is rank power from the factory.

It looks like he has a 2010 XF Supercharged based on his info in his profile unless he recently upgraded.

From what others have posted (5L XF SC) the dynos range from 430whp-460whp. I'd say that's a normal stock dyno number based on that range.

There is lots of questions that come to mind for this dyno but I do not want to rapid fire so many of them off. Every dyno even if the same brand and type and setting will read slightly different from others due to calibrations from the manufacturer. But your #'s seem to be in the stock area. The video doesnt look as if it is a dyno jet, and it doesnt sound as if it was in 4th gear and bumpe the rev limiter as S mode would up shift it by itself. Did they disable anything for this dyno, cause if not there will be lots of error codes and the car will go into limp mode afte the first run or when the key gets turned off. Where did they get a tach signal from exactly? And can you post a pic of the dyno sheet so we can see where it is making power etc to see if it is modded or stock.

If you are planning on a tune and pulley, look close at what you choose as ETG cost way more than all the others but also makes twice as much power as all the others and keeps factory warranty. Seems like Viezu, Eurocharged,Eurotoys all resell the same tune and only makes 40BHP. There is a member here who bought the eurocharged tune and found no extra power at all from it and switched to the ETG tune as well.
Since I have the ETG Tune dont take my word for it but rather go do your homework and see what is best for you. I paid more, but I got more power and results to so that was best for me. Whatever you do get make sure you go back and use the same dyno location and the same settings to compare your gains or youll never know if it gained at all.

Nothing was disabled for the dyno. The car was hot from a 40 min Phoenix freeway crawl. The fan was a a fan like used to dry water damage. I forgot to turn off the air conditioner so it was on for all three pulls. 448 corrected seems on the high side of stock given these three issues. A trip to the dragstrip next month should give me better answers.

I am following your threads and I saw you post asking where to get a tach pickup so I told them not to bother.

The dyno was a dynojet.

Your word on EGT and Jags goes a long ways.

I did have CEL's post dyno but they were what I expected.

ABS problems and Ediff problems. I went to Costco at lunch and back and they all reset CEL went off too. I have a scanner at home so I would have cleared them tonight either way.

I told them to pull in 4th and they said they did all the way to 135 mph. They turned DCS OFF left Dynamic mode alone and put it in S.

I used to get Nitrous fills at this place. Two 40lb bottles for $95!

The dip at 135 mph is the shift into 5th, power spike! It was in S so it shifted on its own.

Avos, granted you know more about Jags then I do I don't think that is correct. How would you even imagine that happens? Compressor clutch disengages at WOT?

A relay trips at WOT and disengages the AC clutch. I'm sure there are some exceptions but all cars have done this for quite some time.

Here a site online describing how it generally works (this isn't aimed at jaguars but it's the same in other brands as far as I know): http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes/sensors/ac.html
