Every time I start the car now (2009 XF-SC), I get a message on the display screen that says: Battery Low, please switch the engine on or the audio system will shut down in 3 minutes.

Does this mean the car battery is going bad or does everyone get this message? I don't remember it coming on when I bought the car last year.

 

I don't get that message...

Take your car by an Autozone/Pep Boys/Advance and have them test your battery to see if you need a replacement...

Happened to my car once in the last 6 months. There is already a thread about this issue. I forget what the thread is titled as.

 

It could mean the battery is low or it could mean your car needs a reflash to update the electronic monitoring system. See a dealer.

 

Going in next Monday.
