Broken headlight thingies.
The cheap plastic tabs that hold the headlights to the frame have both broken. Jaguar North Houston has denied a warranty claim. Anyone have these replaced under warranty. The quoted cost was >$3,000.
Relatively common problem although the dealer will deny any knowledge of it. There was an earlier thread on this. My dealer replaced one but told me that it was a one time deal and jaguar would not let them replace another. It's things like these that make me second guess another jaguar purchase.
Thanks

I am soooo pissed off now I can't see straight. I called Jaguar USA to complain about the warranty denial for my headlight problem 2 days ago. Today I get a call saying they are going to refuse my claim after talking to the service manager about my car.
I wanted a 2nd opinion. I didn't want them to call the SM and just rubber stamp his half assed opinion about the problem. THEN the guy from HQ says to take it to another Jag dealer in Houston. Welllllll, ALL the Jag dealers in Houston are owned by the same conglomerate. There is NO hope of getting this problem covered.
What a bunch of bull excrement.
I will NEVER buy another Jaguar, EVAR!

First off sorry to hear your story.
Secondly, there's no pint in goig off on on like that, it won't solve anything and you'll be beaten before you really start.
I fully appreciate its your baby and your annoyed to say the least....
Now....take a step back, deep breath and start again.
Persevere with the dealers and dont take no for an answer whilst you research this issue further.
Any other help / advice for this member guys?
Sounds like he's about at the end of his rope and desperately needs help?
All my best
Jim
Unfortunately, this is just emblematic of my perception of jaguar customer service. Love the car, not the company/dealers. I was planning to replace my XF with an XJ when the time came, but now I seriously doubt that I will do so - all on the basis of horrible customer service. I have been to two of the three dealers in my area and have been less than pleased with each. A new one just opened, which I will give a shot. Otherwise, I can echo the posters sentiments (albeit not quite as extremely).
For what it's worth, not all Jaguar dealers are bad. I love my dealer. They have addressed every issue I've had with professionalism and concern. They even ask me how previous repairs are doing on subsequent visits. I use the same service writer every time and use them for all my service. They know me by name. Note that I have purchased 5 Jaguars from them over the last 12 years.
