Default Can I reset the 10k service interval indicator myself?

My local dealer failed to reset it last Wednesday and the dealer has been shuttered by Jag as of Friday.

They will no longer even touch my car and the nearest dealer is 100 miles away.

Can I reset the service interval myself on my 2010 XF Premium?

If so, how?

Yes and here you go!

1.Press and hold the rear lamp switch (while the ignition is on).
2.Press the start button without applying the foot brake.
3.Release the rear fog lamp switch.
4.Press and hold the trip computer cycle switch.
5.Press and hold the rear fog lamp switch.
6.Continue to hold the trip computer and rear fog lamp switches.
7.The message center should display "resseting service mode" and then "service mode reset"
8.Release the trip computer and the fog lamp switches and turn the ignition off.

Thank you very much.

But his was very confusing as written and it took me about 30 minutes of reading other posts to fully understand.

Let me try and clarify a bit for others that can't figure out if you are talking about the rear cabin light switch and turning the car off on the second step.

1.With the car completely off, press and hold the rear fog light switch.
2.While holding the rear fog light switch on, without applying the brake, hit the start button.
VERY QUICKLY
3.release the rear fog lamp switch.
4.Press and hold the trip computer cycle switch on the turn signal arm.
5.Press and hold the rear fog lamp switch.
6.Continue to hold the trip computer and rear fog lamp switches.
7.The message center should display "resseting service mode" and then "service mode reset"
8.Release the trip computer and the fog lamp switches and turn the ignition off.

Yes, it all as to be done very quickly. Mine never displayed any messages, but when I got tired of holding the switches, I let go of them and all was good.
