Default "Cannot apply park brake" - how to start?

hi all. I have "Cannot apply park brake" error and the beeping sound on my Jaguar XF 2.0 2013. It does not let me start the engine. The park brake is most probably not applied. Reconnecting battery does not help. Battery is brand new.
Is there any way to start the engine?
Thanks in advance.

Verdict from authorized service: fusebox (C2Z32178) and electronic control unit (C2Z31235) need to be replaced. Total cost 3872 EUR. I am surprised that some box of some fuses costs nearly 3000 euro.
But I tend to order these materials, unless someone will tell me that it is not reasonable...

It's a big complicated and long running story. You can search and see the details. But the fuse boxes now contain far more than just fuses so the name is a bit of a misnomer.
There are other ways to reset things without replacing fuse boxes but again it sometimes works and sometimes it does not. Mainly using SDD but again we have had posts that certain aftermarket devices can fix this too?

Next is these fuse boxes usually required programming to your car (SDD again). Can you do this or do you have a dealer that can or will try to do this?
You did not post any error codes so we don't have much info? If interested do some searchers on those part numbers to see others that have faced this problem.

Thanks for your message. Yes, you are right, I don’t have any knowledge, any SDD, any friend at dealer and any time. I was not given the error codes per se, but it all started from “DSC not available” and later “park brake fault”.

Yes see if you can get the codes as anything you can add will help.
Are you going to be doing the replacement?

One long shot?
We see so many problem because of batteries that is the first place to start. How old is yours?

A new battery - measure the voltage carefully, what is it?

It's really unusual to need to replace the items stated at such cost.

The battery is new. I bought it after reading other messages on this forum. But it didn’t help. The problem was appearing from time to time but its frequency was increasing.

Got a message from the dealer today:
"We have finished our job in your car, but our technicians wants to be sure that, since your problem was once in a while and not everytime that you were going to start your car, is fixed and ok. In next days we are going to do some technicial tests randomly to see if the problem it's reproposing again"
Does this sound like they were not sure whether the root cause was in the fusebox?)

Yes.
I think they are saying since they never could reproduce your problem they are not sure it's fixed yet?
Might be a good idea to let them keep it for a few days? Sounds like they are trying.

I am just a bit worried that I paid nearly 4000€ for changing two units, they changed them, but apparently they were not certain that the issue is in them. I personally would expect a bit more deterministic approach from official repair service…
