Default Central Lock Malfunction

2013 XF key fobs and dash locks did not work after battery was disconnected. Took it to two dealerships in Pittsburgh, PA. Neither could fix the problem. Nothing on this forum about it. I went to UK forum - they had lots of info. Turns out you need an Autologic analyzer for this, Not Snapon, not Autel, Not Launch or Jaguar's. Wolfe's Foreign Auto in New Brighton has the Autologic and he knows how to use it! He fixed the problem for $270......not the $8K the dealerships wanted. This is a common known problem by Jaguar.Tech bulletin #JTB00545NAS1. Good luck!

The dealership will be replacing both the fuseboxes & programmimg so the cost will be high. What you had done is a work-round, the next time the battery is disconnected you will have the problem again.
The jag software SDD can also do the work-round by running the immobilisation programme.
