centralized closing
Hello everyone,
Owner of a Jaguar XF 2009, I have a central locking problem (cause: trunk bulb remains on)
Can you tell me where the trunk light switch is located?
Thanks to you

Hi Cquatre,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
The trunk ajar switch is part of the latch assembly in the trunk/boot lid. If you can detach the trim to gain access to the latch, you might be able to jump the Yellow-Orange trunk ajar switch wire to the Black ground wire, which should tell the Rear Junction Box that the trunk is always closed.
Please visit the New Members Area - Intro a MUST and post an introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don

I think the signal for the trunk / boot being open or closed comes from the lock mechanism. A very common cause of faults in that area is a broken wire in the loom between the boot lid and the body, it flexes every time the boot is opened or closed. It's an easy enough task for the average DIY mechanic to locate and repair a broken wire in that loom. There are at least a couple of threads on this forum that cover this.
Hello ,
Thanks for responding,
Yes, I took the trim apart to find the contactor, but nothing. I will do your trick this weekend.
But could it be possible that this also comes from a cut wire in the harness at the accordion rubber?
THANKS.

Hello to you,
There you go,
I dismantled the trim and looked at the beam.
The problem was indeed a cut wire, thank you for helping me.
