Default Clicking noise on reverse from park...

Hello all. I have this clicking noise from what seems to be front right wheel when going into reverse. It primarily happens when I back out of a parking space quickly. If I go REALLY SLOW it does not happen. The dealer looked at it and suggested it is the brake pad that has some play in it. It slips into a temporary "locking" position in one direction and then back in the opposite direction. The diagnosis seems credible and I can see the noise corresponding to the symptom. (Basically, I hear one prominent click) Okay, so fix it. They said they cannot (or will not) and even suggested it is normal.

Headed to another dealer in area next week to get it looked at. Any one else experienced this issue? I have learned with all the little annoying issues with this car that taking other evidence from forums and research in generally gets better results from dealer. Funny that I feel I have had to resort to building a case to convince the dealer resolve warrantable items on this car.

By the way, this forum continues to be an invaluable source to help me navigate through what seems to be a growing number of issues on my 2010 with only 30K on the clock. I hope I get through the big issues before the warranty expires. :-)

Hummm. Sounds terminal. Best go trade it in on a new XFR. They have better brakes.

That is a plausible solution!

If for some reason that solution is not plausable then you may want to check the brake shield. Sometimes they will get bent just enough to rub and make noise.
