Assuming BMW eats the currency conversion cost, $107k in US dollars is a lot more than an XFR.
Well the 550i will also get Dinan Stage 1, so it will have 495 hp. So it will be close.

The M5 I think will be around $100k well equipped (a lot more than the XFR).

So XFR is faster and more beautiful, 550i has better transmission, more gadgets (HUD, surround cameras, 10.5" HD nav screen) and nicer interior trim options.

This is why I was asking if there is any info on the equipment updates - e.g. 8 Speed and HUD?

I placed an order for a 2012 BMW 550i but MSRP with options is around $82k, so that's same as the XFR which has everything standard.
Still the 6-speed ZF and no HUD. So far, I believe the 8-speed is only on the not-for-U.S.diesel models.

That sucks! The 8-speed ZF is a fantastic transmission - much better than the 6 speed in my driving experience.
