Is the car at Madison Jaguar in NJ?

If not, check out their lot/website. They have myriad of XFs. I have seen 2013 V6SC as low as $43,000 up to $52,000 with similar mileage. Both RWD and AWD.

Yes it is. BTW, this is not considered a "used" car. It's an executive demo (never been titled) from US headquarters at Mahwah, NJ. They do have a lot of XFs but not in ultimate black.

Thanks,
Mike

Glad you're looking at the V6 as the 4 cyl. turbo loaners I've had are terrible when it comes to throttle response in any situation other than highway driving. They make my GF's Kia Optima with a similar engine seem utterly smooth. Jags shouldn't have turbo 4's! Damn CAFE regulations.

Mike,

I think the price should be closer to $50,000, even lower as that's where the market is at. They do have a nice XJ in Ebony for $54,000 with 16,000 miles on it. Not sure, if they appeal to you.

If you want, i can ask my contact at my local Jaguar dealer in Long Island and get back to you on any 13 V6 SC in black. Possibly at lower price point. ???

EDIT: Is this one no longer available in Madison?

@Executive sorry, link didn't work. The only other options we are looking for are the Cold Weather Package and the Premium Package. If your dealer has one like this, would be happy to discuss.

Mike,

He is going to get back to me on it. Told him it has be in black, with CW package and/or premium package. I may need your contact information to pass on to him, if says he's got one. I will just link you guys up and you can go from there.

Thanks. If he has one you can PM me for my contact info.

Mike

P.S. Didn't buy the one at Madison. Whoever drove it at Jaguar corporate really didn't take care of it - lots of cosmetic defects.

Not a problem. I will keep you posted.

The asking price on it was too much anyway.

I too am looking to buy a 2013 XF AWD, preferably a low-mile Jag Select Edition car with Sport Package, or maybe Portfolio. There seem to be a lot of new ones being offered at about $8 to 10k off MSRP, and some Exec or Demo cars being offered at slightly more off, some with and some without Select Ed. But I'm surprised you both think $58k is too high for an Exec driven with Sport Package and MSRP of $74k, or that the market would be $50k for such a car? Are some dealers willing to go that low? Jag must have a heck of a dealer rebate going right now?

I'm looking at an Exec-Demo 2013 AWD XF with 5k miles, Sport and Winter Package, MSRP of $63k and they're asking $49k. Should I expect them to come down to a lot from there?

I know there are a lot of base Exec-Demo AWD XFs in the mid to low 40s but most of those are only about $10k under MSRP, not $20k under!

Any advise would be appreciated -- thanks!

UPDATE: I just took delivery of an XF 3.0 AWD with the add-ons that we wanted. Final offer from Madison Jaguar was $6k off MSRP. I watched it being unloaded off the delivery truck. It went straight to my detailer. I suppose I could have done better elsewhere but at least I have the satisfaction that the car wasn't sitting outside in the elements on the dealer's lot for weeks.

Congrats on your new XF! Post a picture when she's all cleaned up!

Default 1st XF

Pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2013 3.0 AWD XF. My trusty '96 XJR w/ 161k miles, which I bought as CPO Select Ed in '99, will now go to pasture, in an honored spot in my garage. I wanted the Sport Pack but couldn't find the right deal -- then I fell for a Portfolio Pack car in Indigo w/ London tan. There was a time when I couldn't care less about the color of a car, but colors seem to make or break the appearance of the XF. None are bad, but the right color combos can just knock your socks off, with the XF.

That looks very nice. I am taking mine back in next weekend for a similar coating. These are some beautiful cars.

Any recommendations for coatings to use on the XF - mine is black and suffers from swirls and showing a lot of dirt quickly unless I keep it clean. Any experience in coatings that are helpful for this and to make it really shine when washed - and how long do these coatings typically last? Plus what's the cost?

I got the Protector Ultimate Appearance Protection. The warranty registration form says they will do it on a car up to 5 years old. The warranty is for 7 years. I paid $349 for it, but I think the dealer charges around $500.00. It is an all day application. I am not sure if you can drop off and pick-up the same day. I am dropping off Friday and picking up Saturday.

If you already have swirls in your clear coat then no coating will help. You first need to remove the swirls via a polishing/correction process. Then you can apply a coating such as Opti-Coat. If you don't have experience with a DA and polishing compounds then I'd suggest you take your XF to a professional detailer.
