How can we measure gains when no one has done before and after dyno runs or posted any before and after 1/4 mile runs?

1/4 mile trap speeds are a very good indicator of car horsepower regardless of the elapsed time.

Default Custom air intake for 5.0 v8 Supercharged - made a big difference!

My take on mods -

1. If it works worse...bad.
2. If it works the same...bad, unless it was free then see #'s 4 & 5.
3. If it works better...great.
4. If you enjoyed doing it.. great.
5. If you feel better that it's no longer stock and more unique...great
6. If it works way better than you ever thought it should for the price...perfect.

When I finally get my intake designed and built I plan on doing back to back on the dyno, but i really don't expect to see to much of anything. I will also be looking at the pressure loss through the filters on the runs so that even if it isn't making more power initially, there could be more on tap with the correct tune put in place.

Kyanite, I like that, that's basically my thinking too when it comes to mods. I usually enjoy making my own parts so even if the performance comes out even, I still call it a win.

Sorry to bump this up but what are the actual measurements required for this mod on pipes and couplers

Yeah I was curious to see what the actual reported gains were as well. Though today in 2019 you can buy a nice aluminum one for 245 bucks, I'm still curious.

Going to do the upper pulley too, anyone done the bottom one as well?

Any way I can buy a custom intake from ya? I got a crack in my Y pipe and haven’t been able to find fittings in my city whatsoever!

And I know that heat soak is an issue from my dyno runs, so maybe I'll start figuring out some way to try and cool things down on the stock intake. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just purchased and installed 2 conned filters absolutely love the whining sound BUT lost power, acceleration and now a crazy hesitation.
