Had my first drive in my newly acquired 60plate 3.0d XF put foot down in sport mode car went into limp home mode restricted performance and yellow engine light on Sickened !!!

 

Oh sad... I am sure it was something simple. Don't lose hope. My 2013 XF 3.0 AWD had a check engine light right after I pulled off the lot, was just an O2 sensor. Probably from the dealership putting around town and not really driving the car. At least that is my theory and I am sticking to it.

 

Sorry to hear that. My XF is one month old and I got my first scare yesterday. Started the car up and the touch screen was black. Radio and climate worked and the screen beeped when I pushed it, but no display. Remained black till I stopped and started the car again 30min later. Hope it doesn't resurface.
