I'm really liking the Vellanos(Brushed VSY). I started to put them on my xf 09 SC but I'm concern that if I spend the money on the rims, If they will fit on a 2012 XFR for example. I see u had no issues with fitment. I'm currently looking for a 2012 xfr but hasn't found one as of yet. I'm also concerned about what they will give me on my 09 as I really can't afford to be upside down so I may wait until I pay it off. But ur car looks nice man. I admit, I wasn't aware that the Vellanos was a luxury wheel, but now I know and want them myself.
Thanks. Good luck with the XFR search. My wheels swapped over no problem but might as well hold off if a new XF is in your future.

Duke do u feel the difference going from the '09(I believe that's what u had) to ur current '12 was worth the re-up? It's basically the same car with updates?

Yup, I went from an '09 Supercharged to a certified '12 Portfolio. It is in many respects the same car but the upgrades were worth it to me specifically the revised headlights, the 5.0 engine which is just as quick and a little less thirsty, upgraded B&W system, upgraded MMI options and graphics. Plus I dig the Sport Pack exterior treatment (best off the shelf XF look IMO) and sport seats.

I was able to justify it financially with the .9% financing, warranty coverage through 2018 (warranty was expired on my '09 and it had a few things that needed attention), and free maintenance.

Sweet deal! I think I'm going to make the switch. Maybe next year. You have the V8 385hp? And you feel its as fast as the 09SC??

Yup, the 385hp naturally-aspirated is as quick as the 420hp supercharged and sounds better.

Someone recently posted relative performance stats on the XF range - see
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-years-114730/

While these are Jag figures and appear conservative, they are useful as a relative comparison with one another. They show the 5.0 NA V8 (385hp and 0-60 in 5.5sec) to be very close to the 2009 SC (420hp and 0-60 in 5.1sec) - but at least on paper they suggest the '09 SC is a little quicker.

I'd be surprised if you could notice that sort of difference though - and will depend on driving conditions and any deterioration as the car ages anyway.

That's a good guide and I'm sure the 4.2SC would win a drag race and a road race but the difference isn't noticeable on the street. I think most mags pegged the 4.2SC in the 4.9-5.0sec range and the 5.0NA in the 5.1-5.3sec range.

I love the look. It gives it a hunkered down and mean stance while still staying classy. The wheels look like a satin finish from the picture giving it a very civilized and British look. I think it works all day long. Killer Texas cat.

I haven't been a fan of aftermarket wheels in a while. But the car still looks good.

I wouldn't call it "ghetto" though the rims aren't my cup of tea.

lol I like both I know this is a old thread but I got mine a year ago and I'm putting wheels on it soon I think you'd like....does anyone know if I can fit a 285/30/22 on the back wheels really don't wanna go 285/25/22 and ive ruled out the 275 option what tires will actually fit on 22s. ive been searching, most rims sales people are saying that 22s wont even fit but ive seen so many with 22s.
