That's a VERY good point! But again we have several people getting this fixed using Autologic but they make a number of different scanners/readers so which one is needed?
Never seen a model number posted.
Yes that is the price range we have seen from the dealer. Multi-Thousand dollars is a lot of money!

Ok I've got one that should blow some minds after they read this and I encourage the top minds of this jaguar forum to come share wisdom on this matter......... so in pursuit of trying to sort my central locking issue without taking it to a dealership I've come up to basically a brick wall every turn I make, well on my way home from work today out of nowhere I get battery not charging pop up on my display "oh just bloody great" so I pull over right away and run a few voltage tests and everything is looking good get back in start it up and no warning anymore (hmmm that was odd)
I stop off at Walmart on my way home get out and like every time since my doors wouldn't lock I mimick the double deep when it goes off...... click the lock button twice...... single beep...... and you have got to be ****ing with me NO DOUBLE BEEP...... so the battery not charging warning somehow fixed the issue with my door locks 🤷♂️
Anybody have any kind of insight as to what sorcery or witchcraft is at play with this one because my brain hurts.
Low battery equals lots of electronic gremlins. What does the battery read for voltage when engine off? And when running?
And is it an AGM or a standard lead acid?
I'm going through this right now myself. An independent shop is telling me that I need have the TB performed. They diagnosed for a few hours and couldn't get the central locks back online. I also can't open my trunk with the fob or the button on the trunk lid. Only the button on the dash works. I also can't actuate my driver's rear window.
At any rate, here's a screen shot of the parts from Harper Jaguar. These are OEM parts...

thank god i wont be having to spend that kind of money anymore as a "battery not charging" warning came up and fixed the problem somehow lol

where would it say on the battery what type it is or what would I be looking for? Ive checked that thing up and down and cant see anywhere that says the type just a lot of warnings and cautions lol
Had the same issues, with the direver's side read door not locking. I bought a rear actuatore ready to replace it and before then disonnected the battery, that fixed. Nest time the rear windows woudl nto work, Disconnected the battery, that fixed it.
ALthoguh I have seen the oposite, disconnecting the battery broke locsk alarm windows... so take your pick

that's originally how all my problems started from a disconnected and shorted power wire. It's just crazy how a one off warning message saying "battery not charging" fixes the issue and I say one off because that literally was the only time that warning had come up lol
it's so crazy

Well I experienced something equally bizarre...
I had disconnected my battery months ago to change out my crank pulley, ever since then my locks wouldn't work. The dreaded double-beep. Fast forward to last week, I got out of my car and hit the lock button waiting for the double...but heard a single. WHAT?!?!?!? Unlocked and locked again because I was sure I was losing my mind...another single (but the beep sounded like it was dying, very faint and "sick" sounding). But my locks work now! I didn't have any strange warning lights other than low key fob battery which I finally replaced. There's no way in hell that could have fixed it, right?

That's too funny, as i read your message it's like I'm right there with in total disbelief, then relief knowing ur car locks now then the 8 million questions as to how lol
these cars are some kind of crazy mystery
Always keeping me on my toes that's for sure lol
