Default DSC restricted performance

Having read on the forum the problems with my XF 2008 2.7 diesel DSC warning , I decided first of all to check my battery. After the cold snap we had in Dorset and not using the car much, and when I did everything electrical was running, up pops a DSC restricted performance fault.
Checked the voltage and it was down to 9v, so after a night on charger the faults have all gone and car is running like a dream again. Always for any electrical fault check your battery first👍

I suffered this fault code coming up 3 times yesterday while driving back from Yorkshire to South Wales, it's not fun on 'Smart' Motorways I can tell you, when it occurs as you're actually driving, it actually disables all 'drive' and the car is basically coasting along at 70mph in the 3rd or 4th lane of the motorway, losing speed rapidly, unable to speed up and you have to find your way to somewhere that you can actually stop the car, before it will give you 'drive' capability back again. In my case, turned out to be a loose negative cable on the battery, just wish I'd found it before it bricked my BCM, again!
