I can only find the 623 bhp version with 568 lb ft of torque. And require 93 PON gas to get there, stock only requires 91.

Also, it's not quicker than stock, although the F Type R does suffer a bit from traction issues.

Hennessy claims to improve the intake and intercooling and fit an under drive pulley.

It's just the way supercharging works:

Hope this helps resolve your confusion.

Confusion is with you i'm afraid.......

Only a complete dufuss would make a blanket statement like that, not comsidering for one second the many variables involved......

there again that may explain a few things.....

So back to the matter at hand... I took a pic of the engine to post in another thread. Thought I'd put it here too. Since starting the thread, I removed the engine cover and associated insulation and also shortened the resonators. I'm pretty happy with the results (although I haven't prettied up the resonator change yet.

Right?!?!?! I sorta want to paint the central part, but not sure I'll ever get around to it, partly because I don't know what color I'd go.

Yeah, but black seems like it would just make it look like more plastic.

If the car is black then pick your favorite color and don't look back. Everything goes with black. And if you decide you don't like it just put the cover back on!

Default I chose gloss black

I chose gloss black for my 2005 XJR. I have a leaping Jaguar stencil on order, from the U.K, and intend painting it red on the gloss black. I am supposed to be working on house projects and do this instead when I cannot bring myself to start on the house projects.

I have the 4.2 as well, but mine doesn't have the nice smooth sides and "supercharged" across it that would make it look that good when painted. The cooling fins on mine would make it nightmarish to paint as well, so about the only place I could paint would be the top center intake housing. Maybe if I did the jaguar stencil like you're going to, it would look good, but for now I don't think mine would look as good painted black.

Default Stencil arrived

This is how it looks. Still have a bit of touch up to do. Used paper glue to stick the stencil down as the curved surface was a little difficult to work with as the stencil was overhead transparency material.
