Engine go smaller
Right, does that mean the used v8 xf would appreciate, LOL.
V8 will continue for North America I am sure. The awd cars are to have only the V6 probably for packaging reasons. Jaguar made a big investment in that V8 and North America is its only market in our crazy modern world, they will still build it for us.
yeah right, but the v8 would only be available on SC model or R, much pricey.
US doesnt have high tax on big engine car, that's great! I hate to pay a premium on tax just because it has bigger engine

If it makes you feel better, its still a v8 without the back 2 pistons and rods, the back cylinders are still there with blockoff plates, and has v6 heads. The powers feels right inline with what the 4.0v8 put out only better fuel economy
The cylinders are still there? I know the crank is still as long as in the V8 but they actually cast the cylinders as well, I.e the whole block is the same length and height?

Ok, I looked more carefully at that u tube animation ( not the above link, google this) and I see what you mean. It looks like there are two blanking plates on top of the V8 block deck right behind the ends of the heads.
