Default Engine light - Code P0106

I have a 2011 XF. Engine light on. Used one of those Wifi diagnostic tools to check codes and I got fault P0106.

Anyone have any experience with fixing this? Trying to save what no doubt will be a hefty bill from the dealer.

Thanks

OK - I see other posts on this. Although no clear solutions.

Are there any good Jag mechanics in the Montreal area someone can recommend? Other than dealers, obviously.

Thanks.

Wrong forum but before you take it to anyone clear the code and see if it returns. OBD code readers are inexpensive and all cars built in the last decade have an OBD port. You could also try cleaning the MAS sensor.... use aerosol MAS cleaner when sensor is cold.

Welcome to the forum jagguy123,

I've moved your question from X260 to X250 forum. This is the place to post questions about your model.

Here is the relevant section from the Workshop Manual:

Now that you know the code, I would follow the advice given above to clear it and see if it returns. It could have been simply a transient out-of-range signal and it's worth eliminating this first before looking at the other possibile causes.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.
