Hey Guys,

Might someone know the piping size going into and out of the Catalytic Converter? Is it 2 1/8, 2 1/4, 2 1/2? Is this consistent throughout the system?

XFR is all 2.5.

 

Got the Jag up on a rack and it's 2.5 in most places except that transition from the downpipes to the mid-pipe section. It gets around 2.25 or less in that slip fitting.

 

Yes, that slip fitting is reduced and my exhaust guys had to use a 2.25” pipe to mate to it and then flared the new piece to 2.5 to head back to the X pipe.

I did not want him to cut the slip fitting off so I could go back to stock piping if I wanted to.

It has been a year now and i will never be going back to the factory mid-pipe so I should go back in and have them cut out that restriction.

 

I was curious, has anyone used larger than 2.5" from exhaust manifolds back? 2.75 or 3"?
