coolant water piping question
Just had to replace the short hose on front top off engine and ended up snapping of return piping at connector
and just wanting to make sure this is the correct replacement piece. http://www.jagbits.com/mm5/merchant....=XJ8_Cooling_2

The description looks to be correct -- the replacement may look different than the one on your car -- as I believe the later cars got an upgrade at the junction to the aluminum thermostat housing. My 02 has a reinforced 90 degree fitting at the location of your failure.

It's $21.25 at Jaguar full retail or $16,79 here: http://www.jaguarmerriamparts.com/pa...&siteid=215718
I have always been amazed how expensive most of the business that specialize in Jaguar parts are, more often than not, way above dealer prices.
Was this company on fleebay that specialize in owners manuals and he wanted $80 for a USED 2001 navigation manual.
Dealer price on it, NEW, was less than $10.
If Jaguar were smart, they would put all their parts catalog on-line with drawings, parts# and prices and I'm sure that they will do a great business.
