Default Forgive my ignorance: Power folding side mirrors?

Still tinkering with my "new to me" 2012 XFR. Can't seem to figure out how to get the power folding side mirrors to "FOLD". Am I incorrect to assume that it's standard on my particular model? I've followed the instructions from the manual, however, I'm either too stupid or my XFR simply isn't equipped with this specific option.
Anyone with a similar experience???

Unless you have a fault, you have both features of the power fold mirrors, they are standard on every XFR. Press both left and right mirror adjustment buttons at the same time to manually fold the mirrors. Configure the mirrors to fold (or not) when you lock the car via the Vehicle Settings menu.

I'll re-try what you suggested although I think I've done that already, however, maybe I need to double check the settings portion... Awesome, thanks for the info!

US cars after the facelift (2012) did not have that feature. Not sure if they had it prior, but I remember my friend's 2010 XF SC that did power fold. I spent two weeks trying to figure that out before I found out the feature was removed from US cars (XFR specifically, not sure if they were retained on the other versions of the XF). Congrats on the new car. It was discussed on this thread:

Hope it helps.

Yeah I'm 100% sure my '10 XFR also doesn't have power folding mirrors

Well, I definitely feel better... I've been splitting my head open trying to figure it out. I'm convinced my '12 XFR DOES NOT have the power folding feature .
THANKS!

My '10 XFR did not have them (although the manual gave the procedure for folding them) and my '14 XFR-S does not have them. Not sure why Jag decided to be so cheap and eliminate them from North American cars. These are not small vehicles and the competition generally includes folding mirrors even on the non high performance variants of the equivalent models.

Sorry for the bum steer, I assumed that as the XFR is the "top of line" model they would all have power fold mirrors. Mine does, and so did my previous 2010 XFS. Very handy to have in two different ways. First, it helps to fold them out the way when squeezing through or into a small gap. Second, I have mine set to fold when locking the car, which gives me visual and audible confirmation that I have in fact locked the car. Oh well, one tiny recompense for us Aussies who pay twice as much as you Yanks and Canucks do for the same car!

Coincidentally, someone sideswiped my car earlier today and bashed my driver's side mirror. Fortunately, none of the rest of the body was hit... Knocked the cover off my mirror... too bad I didn't have power folding mirrors!

I found the cover for my mirror next to the car, and the other guy's passenger side mirror about 10 feet down the road. Looks like his ripped right off... My cover actually doesn't look too bad...

All things considered not too bad of an outcome huh... Good for you, usually doesn't happen that way. Typically you're the one finding your mirror a block away.
