Default Getting Front Seats to Move with no Power

When I began dismantling my donor car to work on my fix up I made the huge mistake of not removing the front power seats prior to removing the battery and harnesses. These Jag seats require the seat to slide forward and backward to get access to the four bolts necessary to remove the seat. I was able to get the two front ones out but am not able to access the rear ones due to the slide tracks being in the way. Does anyone know of a method to mechanically operate these seats or is there some release mechanism that I am not seeing? Short of being able to mechanically release them does anyone know the correct pins(in the connector) to engergize with 12V to get this seat to move forward?

Thx!! Next time I will know!https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/i...n_beerchug.gif

I answered my own question here, albeit a year late!

Turns out that the motor that moves the seats back and forth is the silver canister which sits perpendicular to the track access and has an electrical connector with four blades exposed on the motor side once removed. I had just enough access to be able to put in two electrical probes with 12 volts across the large blades to activate the motor. Just switch polarities for reverse direction. Requires a bit of dexterity but well worth not having to go "medieval" cutting the floor out with a torch.
