Default Global Open?

Can the XF be programmed for the key fob global open feature. My 04 XJ had it and I thought my current XF did too. Didn't work today, so I'm guessing I just was remembering the old XJ> (Kind of wish I still had that car!)

I think it can be selected in a vehicle settings menu but global close maybe not. I do know in the newer models it can only be operated from outside the car. I think global close requires you to press the lock button on the door if you have keyless entry, no fob option.

I agree the old system programmed to the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob and also available inside the car using the master lock and unlock buttons was a great feature but they changed it.

Yes, as jagular says, the current XF's have it. It is a feature controlled in the touchscreen menu. Global close is by external door keypress only.

THANKS! I knew that I had used it before. Must have been turned off at a dealer service. Just turned it back on and works great.
