Is this a good deal?
I'm looking at a '12 white xf portfolio with the sport pack(front facia, side skirts and spoiler) with the 2 tone red interior. It has about 11k miles on it. It is a cpo car. They are going to tint the windows and powder coat the wheels for me for $49965.
I know I can find a non sport for about 45 w/o cpo but I love the look of the sport pack
Thoughts?

Locally here I found a 2012 XF Portfolio , almost exact as you mentioned Came with Sportspack
Is this from Gaplin ? because it's about identical to what you have described.
I was looking at it and went with another choice. a little less than 11k Miles correct ?
right below 50k is good, and about average on pricing on these models.
You may be able to kick them down to 46k-47k which I was going to try working him down to.
as for the vehicle, it is flawless.
Gary At Gaplin is a fantastic guy, easy to work with.
I just spoke with him last week.
It is probably a rare spec, so if it is worth the extra money to you, go for it - drive the best deal you can. A few $$$ for the right spec is worth it, in my view. Isn't CPO unusual on a 2012 car? Aren't they just selling it with the standard new warranty balance remaining? You are getting max 18 months extra warranty, so it shouldn't seen to add much value from a buyer's perspective.
a lot of 2012 Jags here in So Cal are CPO
so i didnt find it that rare
how ever if he is looking at the same one I was looking at, and by the looks of it. I believe it is.
That one is rare, and i'd still squeeze it towards 47k or so as I know they still can move from 49k

Yes it is the one at galpin. They really don't want to move at all on price. I've talked to the sales guy and the sales manger and they don't really want to budge at all. Beside the modification.
There is also a 2012 xf sc with 4k miles at another dealer and they are asking 53 it has the 2 tone black and London tan

That one is a good deal as well, as it was a loaner ? or lease return. low miles but i believe it is not CPO which isn't a big thing for me as I rarely ever keep cars past 4-5 years, I change out every 3-4 years.. Usually sell or trade right before warranty ends.
53k is not bad, Only thing that bothers me about the XF SC you found is the tan leather, For some reason I really dislike the new color tone of jag's tan.
price is similar to each other, both are about in your price range and both are good deals, Now are you happy with just a portfolio ? or do you want more power ? lol i went through the same dilemma.
I ended up going for the SC it gives me room to increase performance if it is necessary.
I personally found that white XF Portfolio to be absolutely stunning. Beautiful inside and out, offers lots for its price.
Let us know which you decide to go with ! either or you should be very happy.

That white one would look amazing with some carbon fiber parts if you're into that.
It was what I wanted to do, if you do decide to go to that route I can find out from Mina what custom quality parts they can do special for you
Other states are always Cheaper than here in CA for us
for example FL vehicles CPO or not are usually 10-15% cheaper than here.
and that doesn't convince the dealers here to price match, they use "We pay more for our vehicles due to tax differences than other states"
unless you go to a used car dealer (the generic ones) but then again, i find those risky to purchase from
So I haven't heard back yet but I just looked up kbb again and the price dropped down to 49,000 for a cpo xf portfolio sport pack
I don't think I should ever pay more then kbb would you agree?

I usually throw a counter offer for 1.5k-2k less than kbb
That cars been out on sale for a bit if you check the carfax
so you could try to be aggressive by saying "you could try playing the waiting game and end up selling it for less than my offer at the end of the year or just accept my offer now"
I got my friend to get a 2010 M5 like that,
I told the dealer, Ultimately the new F10 M5's will start to hit the market as used by end of the year, there was already 2 for less than 90k
and seeing that there is a Facelift coming up end of this year, I confirmed it with ***** from Northern BMW over a phone conference. The sales and GM had nothing to say. I told them it was a auctioned car, meaning it was track used by BMW either executive loan or M track school.
meaning the car was probably abused before even break-in period (Ive been to M school, they tell you to drive it like you stole it and mine had 300miles)
so at the end they agree'd to 55k out the door, a 2010 M5 with less than 9k miles last month.
Without a doubt there will be a lot more 2012 Jags coming in end of this year, Loaner returns , rental returns, possible early lease returns.

They just called and I told them that the kbb just dropped and I want to be in the 45-46 range
I'm also looking and the 2012 a6 3.0. What to you think about the a6 vs the xf. I like be looks of the xf especially with the sport pack but the red leather scares me a bit for resale. I love all the features in the Audi inside and I found a '12 for about 44k

Resale i wouldn't worry too much about, I can post some pics of mine if you want, It's nearly identical except my exterior is black.
As for Audi's I've owned S series of Audi's so not sure about the A series but I've always been disappointed with Audi's in the past, Not sure about now.
I always felt as if I could've gotten more for what i've paid, But then again I'm a BMW guy and a M lover at heart... so.. that may be why
and here's another, It makes sense to me but a reviewer said, When Buying a Jag is not practical, but it is Exclusive. Absolutely special.
Here in LA, Beverly hills I see a bunch of Audi's and BMW and MBZ left and right.
but the Jag is as rare as RR, Bently, Maseratti's (not saying it's the same class) but if you want to stand out a little , it does turn heads and stand out.

So I Offered 46 plus tax and tint and powder coat wheels. They haven't responded. They came down to 48500 but I think it should be lower. Do you think what I offered was fair? I told them to call me if they can do it or ill keep looking
At least a bmw gives u the performance for same price of other cars within its class.
I have yet to see an Audi come out on top for either luxury, convenience, performance, price.
Audi falls 2nd or 3rd on all of those , never the top. The A models or S or even RS they do poorly , I owned one in my life the s4 never really liked it once I tried a mbz AMG
With that being said maybe the next gen ? Since starting 2015 models bmw is taking a step down from the market as they're going to mainly focus on their 2M and kicking M3 to the curb till the generation after that lol.. 2020? That'll give audis and other makers a chance to shine

Bought the car! Love it! After going and driving the A6 no comparison for me! I feel like you drive the jag and the Audi you tell where you want to go and it goes for you. Kind of disconceted. Also the looks, ESP with the red seas and sport pack, so much nicer looking!
