Default Have car in dealership and they call me to say

While replacing my dash under warranty due to bubbling they somehow broke a coolant pipe? Said it's a very big job taking entire dash off etc etc. And in the middle of job they broke it.

Now looks like they need to order new parts and will have my car for 4 more days than planned. Ugh

Just make sure once done that you do not have any rattles or squeaks from the dash.

That is my big fear when they remove that much of the interior.

Hate when that happens and they have to keep my car longer than expected even if they did give me a loaner, nothing like having your WON car but on the bright side at least they're replacing your dash under warranty.

The dash in my 09 XF had to be replaced due to the bubbling around the center speaker. It was fixed at no charge - that is the good news. It was not until several weeks later that we noticed that there was no air flow from the center dash vents. Shortly thereafter the Jag dealership was sold to the local LR dealer and would not fix the vents, and I understand their position. I've been told it would be 'costly' to fix the vent issue. So, you may want to put on your checklist the air flow from the center vents when the car is returned to you.

I just got my car returned to me on Monday. Good call with the airflow on those vents. I'm about to check them today to make sure they are working. If not it's going right back to Jaguar.

Wow! That's terrible. If they purchased the business--then they purchased not only their assets but also their liabilities. Whether under new owners or not they should have fixed the work of the business performed.

how do you break a coolant pipe when you dont open the hood. the only thing you open is both front doors. and on the center vent airflow, if the center roll open and the flaps inside are not shut off theres nothing else that would have been touched further down inside the HVAC unit. And if there was a issue with the HVAC unit not opening the door you would not get air out of the side vents either. I think we are top dealer at dash replacement in Houston thanks to high heat and humidity (black dashes are the worse since they absorb more heat from the sun

The vent louvers (side and center) do open, and air flow comes out of the side vents. It is only the center vents that have no air flow. I even tried sticking a bent wire through the center vents just in case a covering or something was not removed during the process of installing the new dash, but no luck. Regarding the change in dealership ownership, I think it was more like a forced marriage of the local LR dealer getting a Jaguar dealership assigned to them with the alternative of not having a Jag dealer in the area. Thanks for the comments.

It took them 3 days. I brought it in last Thursday and they just got done on Monday when I got out of work. I'm going to bring it back because one piece isn't flush on that corner right over the glove box door. it's sticking out a little.
