Default Headlamps Xexon left side not working

I running into an issue with my left side Xexon lamp unit. of Jaquar XF 20136 cylinder diesel - D1 - D2 -510.
It is not working on the left side.
I have changed the (Xexon) lamp and the ballast unit.
I have switch the complete unit from left to right, and then the unit is working wel on the right side.
On the left side all the light are working - led strip and direction indicator is working, however not the Xexon.
I have disconnected both connectors and start compering the volts on both connecters.
All are on the same level, except one. there is different in voltage of 4- 5 volt.

I assume that this could be the reason.
I have attached a couple of drawings and pictures

Can someone help a Dutch Jaquar XF owner, with this issue

Thanks in advance

From the wiring diagram, each light is independently wired to the central junction box, and since you have swapped the clusters over and it works fine when connected to the RH side then it must either be a problem with the wiring or the CJB.

Try comparing the voltage between the two clusters at the CJB end to make sure its putting out the same and see if there is a difference in the voltage drop off through the wiring harness, it could be you have some cable damage somewhere that is causing a problem.
If the CJB is giving out different voltages then you might need to use a diagnostic tool such as SDD to see if its reporting any errors/codes.

Thank you for your quick reply and advice.

As I understand correctly, I need to measuring electricity at the central junction box.
I have been told that there several central junction boxes on several location at the car.

Can you please inform me to which central junction box the wires lead of the Head Light?
And what is the location of the correct central junction box ?

Thanks in advance

You're going to need a copy of the workshop and wiring manual.

Hi Fivel,

Thank you so much for all the advice.
I took ALL the connecters out of the CJB, start measuring the cable to headlight.
That was okay.
used some contact spray for the connections and connect all the cables again.
Guess what ?
It works !!!

Very happy !

Thanks again.

If you have a saloon the the connection for the Left dip beam is next to the one for the windscreen washer pump ( same multiplug on the CJB ), there is a common failure where the washer pump leaks, and screenwash is pumped under pressure/wicks through the cable to the CJB, it's likely that is the cause of the bad connection ( check for green copper corrosion deposits / water ). Lots of folk on the forums put waterproof splices in the cable to prevent this, as replacement CJBs are very expensive. Well worth at least checking if your washer pump is leaking.

Default More Detail on the Resolution Please

I see that you sprayed contacts and resolved this issue, but where these contacts within the ECB?

Did you find a leak with your windscreen washer pump?

I have what I think may be a similar issue (at least the symptoms are similar) and am searching for what to do next.
