Default Hello From Oklahoma City

As some of you may know, I was looking for 09 XF, found one and brought it home, 2009 XF supercharged with 45k miles. Loving every minute of it. It is making rattling noise from the drivers side door, calling the dealership monday to get it fixed. Its black with chrome wheel, which I am not a huge fan of.
By the way this will be the first big cat I have ever owned.
I know I will have few questions about the car and I already did ask some earlier.
Hoping to learn a lot from you guys and girls.

I've moved this from Intro to XF section so you can get some advice from other XF owners about the rattling door before you get to the dealer.

It sounds like there is a common issue with the door seals that is creating the rattle. Search for rattle and see if you can pull up the old posts on here.

Welcome to the club! I live in Edmond so we're next-door neighbors.

If I see a black '09 SC around town then I'll wave, so if you see a guy driving a black '11 SC who's waving then wave back!

There are only 2 other XF's in Edmond that I've seen and one of them is black and lives just north so I pass them all the time. Anywhere else and I would rarely see another one. Go figure.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope to see you around.

Ah, okay. Well, the other black one I've seen is non-SC so I guess there's at least 3 of us with black XF's in town (plus the silver one). Oh, well, at least we're not like one of the 10,000 black BMW's in town! ;-)

We've only had to take our Jag to the service department once but I think they were pretty good. The loaner car we got was a rental Altima so that was disappointing. There's also supposed to be an excellent Jag repair place here in Edmond owned by a guy who worked at Jaguar OKC for a lot of years back before they changed names (can't remember what it used to be called). Their website is EuroTech MotorWerks, Inc.

I'm not affiliated with them and I've not actually taken my car into them yet but I ran across a recommendation for them somewhere (maybe on the forum here). So, you might check them out.

Enjoy your new ride and hope to see you around!

Yep! That was indeed me! I didn't think you saw me. It was the day after my post to you to be on the lookout for someone in a black XF/SC waving at you. Funny, huh?

I was going to post a message asking if that was you but got distracted and forgot about it.

Nice XF, BTW!

EDIT: Hmm, actually, I'm not sure that was me. The XF/SC that I saw was on Hefner Parkway.

Kanci868 / hackman,

You guys get could end up in some serious trouble if you're both waving at the wrong XF's.

I thought it was one of the member from the forum, but saw one merc pulling out from the neighborhood so I did not wave back at you. My apologies. Next time I will definitely wave back at you. You will be seeing me drive around 33rd and broadway. I work there. Expect wave next time around.
