Default HIGH pressure fuel pump lines and Supercharger Removal/repalcement Question

The service manual says when discard and replace the HPFP lines when removed (for replacing the fuel pump. )

I was going to pull the line to help get the Supercharger off. Do the lines need to be replaced ?

I didn't replace mine when I pulled my supercharger. I couldn't see how a simple remove/replace operation would have caused damage to them and all the unions looked fine.

Thanks, I did not see anyone dong that here and did not make sense unless there is a compression fitting that you deform to get a tight seal.
