Hello all,
Been quite a while since I posted anything, but this one has me stumped. At first, if I opened the hood and closed it, the warning would go away and everything worked as normal. Now it is on and won’t clear for any reason. I have cleaned every contact that I can find in the latch but no good. Is there a micro switch somewhere that I am missing? Where would it be located? At this point, I am unable to lock the car because of the open hood fault! Thanks for any suggestions.

The microswitch is on the right latch as you look under the bonnet, the swich is part of the latch. You can bridge the 2 wires to bypass the switch, but often the switch can be freed-up with wd40.
