Default How far did you travel to buy your XF?

I just replaced my 61,000 mile 2006 X-Type with a 3,000 mile 2012 XF today. I flew from Orange county to San Francisco and drove it back 400 miles the same day. I'm tired but it was an excellent drive. I still cannot believe I managed 25MPG whereas I could only muster 22MPG out of the X-Type on similar trips.

Congrats

I traveled 750 Miles (Greensboro NC to Toronto, Ontario). Flew down with my teenage son and drove back. Was a fun trip despite weather getting in the way of on time flights last summer. Had a day in Washington as a result and hit the Smithsonian Air Museum to kill time.

Happened upon mine by chance... We brought my wife's XJ8 in for service and my '09 S/C was on the lot and just brought up to my dealer. They didn't have it on the lot for long and I took a test drive... Traded my CTS-V for it the next day and I'm on the fence with a bit of regret these days... I guess 25 days and counting in the shop this month might do that but I'll be drivin' it soon... hopefully

I drove 341 miles. Flew from San Jose to LAX, drove up to Thousand Oaks Jaguar. I probably saved 10k off the prices in the Bay area. 2010 XF with 9K miles. Perfect condition, 25 months of warranty plus 2 years extended. Love the car.

After finding my car in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the fiancé and I flew down from Dallas, Texas and spent the better of both Sat and Sun on the road. 1291 miles. But worth it to me, since the dealer knocked off over $10000 for a practically brand new portfolio!

Boy, I thought I had driven a long way to get mine. The drive was definitely worth it and I really love the car. I had driven a 2009 XF back in 2010 while my X-Type was in the shop and ever since then I knew that I had to have that car. Looking back I wonder why I waited so long...

My X-Type spent several weeks in the shop over the last three years so I know the feeling of the automotive love/hate relationship. Even this year it spent two weeks in and that's when I got to drive the 2011 model XF. One drive with the 5L V8 and that's when I spent the next few months putting my finances together to buy the 2012 XF. Oddly enough I ended up with the same interior/exterior color combo that I had on my X-Type: Ebony with burl walnut wood.

Well this is my first Jaguar. But I did, as you, drove a 2009 back in 2010. Had alot of things going on then and when I cleared things up and started researching I found out about the facelift. So the waiting began about a year ago for the right car at the right price. That's why I went halfway across the country to get it!

All four Jags have been from Sill-Terhar Jag, 25 miles from my house.

Our 2004 XJ8L was in for its 100k mile service, they gave us a 2010 XF loaner. We kept it.
4k miles, 6 months old, for $15k under new price and Select Edition with the 6 year, 100k mile warranty.

That is a smokin' deal. I went from Houston to San Antonio to bring the family to Fiesta Texas and stopped to see an XF in SA since we were in the vacinity. I was shopping nation wide, but saw enough bad to know I wouldn't fly to get an XF unless I had an independent look at it on my behalf first. That one in SA was one of the bad. I ended up finding my sweet deal about 6 miles from my house.
