How well does iPhone work with XF?
Specifically the iphone 4. I probably should have tested this feature out before purchasing as this is important to me as far as phone calls and music/podcast listening go.
I have an iPhone4 and a 2011 XFR. Works off bluetooth, even though you can dock it for music - seems a bit daft. That is my only criticism really. When plugged in, the phone warns that the docked-to device is not optimised for phone reception/call quality etc. but I haven't noticed a problem (but then I am on ATT who are rubbish anyway!). Phone integration itself through Bluetooth is excellent - downloads phone book so you can control it all through the screen. Could do with steering wheel controls to scroll etc. (maybe I have missed something there, but have always just used the touch screen). Sound quality through the speakers/mic seems to be very good. All in all, a good effort from Jaguar, better than Audi circa 2008 anyway!
Yes, I was wondering if one could scroll phone book or recent calls via steering wheel or voice control.
Wiht my other car you would program a contact by saying the name of contact then saying the phone #. The for future you would say "Dial home" e.g. and it would repeat command before dialing.
Thsi eliminated the need for system to have to figure out unusually spelled names
