Default I be real happy

Just picked up my 1st Jag. 2009 XF with 53K miles.
Issues I am facing:
1. Speaker in center of dash--plastic is broken and dash material is slipping to the back.
2. Brakes seemed fine and after 300 miles they are shimming as in warped rotors. Rotors replace at 38K miles so thinking the previous owner was hoodwinked. What are the best rotor for a Daily Driver. Pads also.
Other than that, I can find nothing wrong with the car. \
FYI---My Dodge SRT-10 qc was almost identical 0-60 and 1/4 mile speeds with the Jag. It seems to me that the Jag for the first but the Jag seems to me a lot quicker----but at 75 yr old, things don't always appear as you think.
Any suggestions would much appreciated.

Also I need the plastic side of the mirror bracket. Facing car---the left, from drivers seat the right side.
Thanks

Check for sticking caliper piston / worn suspension.

Congrats mate, you sound pleased ( with good reason !)
So- is it 4.2 litre engine or 5.0 ?

I think JagV8 gave good advice- check for sticking caliper(s) first up
I like EBC redstuff brake pads , personally, but there are even more opinions than pad types/brands out there....!!

4.2L----I looked for the 5L and the XJ but with 52000 miles, no accidents and $8000 I just kinda did not have a choice. Here in Texas he left 3-4K on the table. She is supercharged so is neck and neck with the Dodge 1500 SRT-10 I just sold. 2 full days and I am still very happy.

Nothing wrong with the 4.2 ! I have possibly pretty much the same car as you I think (but it is marketed as the SV8 in my part of the world, you haven't mentioned SV8 in your posts) . I was initially looking only at the newer 5.0 but they were twice the price of the car I eventually bought. The 4.2 is a tried and true engine, the early 5.0 for the next few years after your car were not without some problems. Anyway, nice car , congrats on your purchase.

Stoptech rotors (found on eBay) are a great value.

you have 420hp, if you replace the pulley you can increase that as well.
