I if you go onto amazon you can get tme they ship from China but look as good as OEM. Thjey have 3M backing tape. I do not remember the exact place but here is an example it looks identical to mine with 3M tape.


Pull of the old one it is glued in tight....and then insert this one.

I also got the red tier emblems I have them on (use 3M double sided tape to remove old ones). Warning they are not quite as snug a fit as the originals but they stay in the hole :-)

Okay lots of different opinions on this thread.

A couple of things to consider.

1) The LED Strip or Tube needs to be weather proof - Yes. I actually want to get a TUBE LED in place like I said Angel Eyez to give me the Halo Effect. In essence I want a third light in the middle of the car/grille. Also I want it to be multicolored ! Here is an example of what I have found: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ight-kits/628/


2) The Grille emblem, OEM, has two pieces to it the first is the chrome piece which is the base. The Jaguar face is then inserted on top of this base. It seems to have three locking tabs, plus I am assuming it is glued as well. It is a compact design so there is not that much room to customize and play around with it that I can see.

3) Looking at "Mercedes Glowing STAR Emblem they do not have this ON when the car is running by default it is tuned off, so I assume there maybe seem legal issues with it on permanently - that is why I want a switch on mine which controls the color and the effect.
