Thank you, I'm new to the XFR platform and have been doing 4 hours of research yesterday and 3 hours of research today on all the goodies I need to service my new baby lol. She has almost 120k miles so she definitely needs some things replaced.

XF 2010 model year starts in late 2008 and the INA system came in sometime around early 09. there’s no point in touching a tsubaki system it’s not a timebomb like the early INAs with tensioners that destroy their own guide.

the INA probably was put in there for parasitic loss, there’s a reason timing chain size has shrunk across many OEMs. go read the 2009 tech manual and take a shot every time you see the words fuel economy.

Thanks for the reply, that makes me feel better lol. I thought the Tsubaky was inferior to the INA system. I don't understand why a member on here on another post mentioned if I have the Tsubaky chain to also replace the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets if I'm going to replace the chain tensioners and chain guides.

So "Xalty" you would not recommend to replace the chain guides or chain tensioners on a Tsubaky system at all?

If it ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind. I did a complete rebuild on my XFR engine for other reasons but decided to retain the original Tsukaki chains, tensions and guides, except for one that had very slight signs of cracking. It is a pretty big job so at that mileage I think I would leave well alone unless you are bored.
