Default Jaguar xf gearbox failure message, car does not start.

Ragazzi, buonasera.
Ovviamente olio bagnino 8, livello ok.

Aiuto grazieI forgot, interrogating the control units I noticed that the front cjb has lost the vin after having reconnected the battery and having redone all the steps with sdd. Now in addition to the gearbox problem, the washing of the front windshield and rear wiper does not work.
Help me, Help me.

Hi

The fact that your front cjb lost its programming and that your windscreen washer is acting up could point to a water ingress at the A column on the passenger side caused by a leaking washer pump. This can cause all sort of troubles, not sure if the gearbox issues is part of it.
But its a quick check, disconnect the upper left connector from the CJB. If you find water or corrosion in it thats your culprit. You may be able to salvage your CJB if you are handy with reprogramming modules using SDD. Replace the front washer pump to stop more water from penetrating the CJB.

Jaguar issued a tech bulletin for this: JTB00377V3

Good luck
Chris

Hello good to hear from you again. This afternoon I will check the connector and for this I have no problems, but to reprogram the module with sdd you need the engineering password? because I don't have it and I don't even know how to get it. What I have already done is programming the cjb module as new but the vin was not learned. I have read some posts where they say to disassemble and open the module to get to the processor and redo the programming from the processor with a programmer.

Your EEPROM is corrupt. The SDD method usually fails if you haven't retrieved backup EEPROM data from flash data or written virgin data to BCM/CJB. You will need VVDI or Xprog to read the MCU (MS9S12XET256).

I personally wouldn't trust the clone version of the Xprog but should you still need help you can PM me.

good morning to all of you, update on the fault. it's all solved. Rescheduled the bcm, replaced the bcmb with a used one replaced the gsm and finally fixed the tcm connector that was not well inserted and the automatic gearbox oil wet the electrical contacts and sent them to ground. For all this I have to make a special thanks to Mojo8808 for his professionalism and availability, thanks to him I solved the problems of the control units and he really gave me a lot of support. Finally, thanks to all the members of this great forum for your advice.
