Firstly let me introduce myself. I'm shaun and a brand new member on the forum. I'm looking forward to reading the different threads and getting useful tips when working on my car.
I hope someone can help me. I have a 2008 Jaguar XF and whilst out driving at weekend, I realised the horn was not working. I got home and changed the fuse over but again no luck. Any ideas what the issue may be. This is my first issue with the car.
I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X250 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Hi. No idea why my thread isn't live, (say being moderated). Let me post here:
Trying to diagnose why my XFR horn is not working. Bought the car on weekend from a private seller; everything was fine on drive home. When I got home - horn started blaring. Managed to remove fuse to stop it (Number 20 in engine bay for reference). Next day i put fuse back in to try and diagnose issue. Now I have no horn at all. Wondering if it is relay. Can anyone confirm if the below is the horn relay please ? Thanks.
Any advice please on the Relay question ?
By the way, when I press the horn switch at the steering wheel, I can't hear any clicking on any of the relays in that fuse box, or elsewhere.
This suggests a problem at the switch end to me ? Any thoughts on my assumption ?
Planning to inspect the horns themselves today, to see if they are functioning by providing an (external) 12V power supply to them.

Thanks all.
Yes that is the horn relay.
Switch end ( including wiring and clock spring), or the relay has failed if the relay's not working. Check the feed voltage for the supply for the horns ( at the relay socket), and for the relay coil against a known good chassis "ground" point. If they're good, check the voltage of the other relay coil connection vs a know live feed, it should be grounded hence 12V difference whenever the horn button is pushed.
