Default Jaguar XF Warning Lights then Limp Mode

I have a 2011 Jaguar XF. On Friday, the car started throwing a battery warning indicator light intermittently. The battery is an Interstate battery less than 2 year old. Today, while driving, out of nowhere it also threw a DISC not available and a Transmission Fault warning and then the car jerked and then the entire electrical systems went black and the steering went stiff and then when I tried to stop the car, the gear knob would not allow me to move it out of Drive into any gear or into Park. I had to hit the stop engine switch to kill the vehicle engine. What the heck is going on? This car has 45,000 miles on it and has been one thing after another.

I haven't been here a long time, but in my short time I learned that battery is key to most of the electrical issues and error codes.
Start there... try and cash out for a battery from actual Jaguar dealer.

thanks my battery is an Interstste battery less than 25 months old. Car has to be towed in to dealership. I agree it could be battery, but I think more likely the alternator given the newness of the battery. We will see.

Check the battery voltage to see what you have it could be a problem with the charging system. Also see what codes you have.
