The original Jaguar and Range Rover 5.0 SC V8 engines came from the factory with (front) metal cooling pipes but I guess they changed to plastic because its cheaper.
yes i remember that ,and we couldn't believe they went plastic, but my XF has all metal, added waer wetter by redline ,drove 1300 miles on them with no issues , felt good knowing you have that security
Unfortunately all metal is not an option for my 2012 XF 5.0 NA. However I recently fitted a new water pump (after 35k miles) and have just completed a 5000 mile round trip from Toronto to Canmore, Alberta and back without incident. No coolant was added during or after the trip, and the running temperature was steady at 188F, except for a high of 206F during afternoon rush hour through Chicago traffic.
Thanks Dennis, curious what you find. I probably should try calling the dealer but I don't have a VIN handy. I'm told 2024-2025 F Pace SVR and V8 Defenders have the metal pipes.
I grabbed these from a range rover forum, not sure if these are legitimate parts or not.
Thanks much for the updated part numbers! It will be interesting to see how much these are compared to the after market versions? Now we will need to decide which ones to use?
I noticed that Jaguar stopped using that small failure prone coolant line from the front of the engine back to the coolant reservoir. BUT they just capped the front part of the port off and did not change the casting.
I just fitted the part numbers that are in this thread to my 2015 XF S/C 3.0, after trying a couple of aftermarket copies.
The after market quality control was very poor, which allowed them to leak. It would leak at the joint where the two tubes met, even using the Jaguar o-rings.

Always has been capped on the Range Rover variants but useful for bleeding the system.
The original Al. pipes were different than these and do not interchange plus there was coupler between the two Al. front pipes that was eliminated when the pipes were redesigned in plastic. The original Aluminum pipes were fine BUT the coupler O-rings could fail and cause a leak.
Here is thread with more info and some pictures. Do note davetibbs comment in that thread. Coolant Pipes
The original versions are easy to tell because of the "crooked" neck that the redesigned pipes do not have.
The coupler that was between the two pipes is now gone it was item #9.
It's great to see members taking note of this because some are not aware, so it's nothing old due to some models don't have these pipes and self destructioning, so Awareness is good thing aswell as maintenance

Do you have a picture of a one piece front pipe, cause I have never seen one? Aluminium or plastic.
The new EuroAmp and aftermarket solution is 1 piece as well as the alleged Land Rover Defender V8 / SVR pipes in aluminum. I asked my dealer to confirm the accuracy of PNs because my F Pace SVR did not come with a front crossover made with aluminum. It looks like glass filled resin which should last much longer than the original design.
