Goodmorning everyone,
My name is Giuseppe and I am Italian, I am new in this forum and like all of you I have a Jaguar model xf 2.2 diesel engine year 2013.
I installed on a laptop SDD 138.02 that I bought from a well-known online site with relative mongoose pro (obviously not original),
I wanted to know if for this version of sdd in addition to the files that are on the DVD there are other updates that can be installed, and if there are, how can I find them and what are they?

If your setup detects your VIN and is functional, **don't make any changes** Especially if you have engineering mode working. You would only need the newer version updates if you had a more recent year car, because it wouldn't detect it. Also standard warning not to try programming modules with the china cable.

Hi gimag70 as I posted on your other threads I have programmed just fine with the Mangoose cable. The problem is the proper power supply and making sure the laptop has ALL power saving junk turned off and the USB ports have the power saving stuff shut off. Also the Drew Tech Mongoose cable is no longer being sold so you will have to find something else or maybe a used one?

See they don't offer a Jaguar version anymore but they have a number of different devices that might work. So you could contact them and check?

Is your SDD hooked to the internet? If so it will try to update but again as I posted before you really don't need any updates as Jaguar long ago stopped releasing any for your car.
As litteredwithfaults said does the SDD read your VIN? Do the modules come up with green checks that match the options on your car?

I am in the US and forgot you have 220 VAC/50 Hz power.
I can't recommend one with that power input but I am sure they are available.

I have heard some who say they used a clone of the DA VINA 2534 and that it is much more stable than the clone mongoose,

I took a look at the original cable and it costs around $ 500 (that's a lot to me) for what I do.
while the clone cable goes around $ 100.

 

I can't answer that as all I have used is a clone Mangoose cable for everything I have done on multiple cars.
