Default Joining the club today

Hello all,

In just a few hours I will be picking up my Botanical Green '09 XFSC with about 25k miles. This will be my first Jag. I am quite excited.

Just wanted to share the news. I've read quite a bit on this forum and have learned a lot.

Cheers

Nice!

There are quite a few nice deals on 09 XF/SC's out there.

Great news! I just got my first one last Sunday. Ya know, it is really weird. I awoke this morning thinking about driving my car! There is simply no car I have ever been in which evokes in me a feeling of excitement like my XF-R. I'm going on a weeklong vacation starting tomorrow and already have a feeling like I'm going to miss driving my car. I know that may sound strange, but in my vast Jaguar ownersip experience of 5 days I am very happy with my purchase. I trust you will be as well.

I want a XFR now! Pff what a cheapskate I am! Although I feel the same way with my Premium Darin! I carpool to work with a friend and hate the days that I don't get to take it out in the morning. Can't wait till I can get home to take it for a run! It needs exercise daily!

Nah, just bide your time. I got my 2011 with 7k miles and 4.5 years of warranty remaining for $56,200. I would not have bought the "R" if I had to buy it new (sticker on mine was just shy of $81k). My budget was mid $50k's. I could have bought a new regular XF for $5k less, but the used "R" had better bang for the buck.

Yea I wasn't willing to splurge. Went for the 09 premium with pretty much every option other than ACC with a bunch of accessories like lit scuff plates and crome mirrors/side vents. Has the cold package and warm package and blind spot monitoring (everything yours already has I think). Only a 4.2L engine though . Stick on mine, in Canada, was $75K give or take and got it for $34K (budget was $40K) with 40,000 km's and 1 year of warranty left. I think I did alright but watching prices fall every day!

Congrats - I've been biding my time and hoping the cold of winter will bash the prices down a bit before acting.

Won't stop me from getting the test drive in though, its impossible to find a used XFR for sale in western Canada for a decent price - am off to california to get the test drive in! Ok, I may do a couple other things there.
